  • Ida HS standout guard Caleb Yeary joins the Tiger Family

Coach Bailey and his staff signed yet another outstanding high school player on Wednesday in Ida, Michigan.  Guard Caleb Yeary, who has spent four seasons starting at the point guard spot for the Ida High School Bluestreaks, committed to play for the Tigers next season.  Caleb is the son of Floyd and Cynthia Yeary, and has a brother Christian who is currently serving in the army and a sister, Macy, who is currently attending Mercy College.  Returning senior and All-American Cameron Cramer played with Caleb his senior year at Ida, as Caleb was the freshman point guard at that time.  In his senior season, Caleb averaged 20.8 points per game and 2.5 assists.  He ended his career 5th in total points at Ida High School (952) and has the school record in threes with seven in one game.  He was awarded All-League honors twice, as well as Monroe County All-Region.

Caleb on why he chose Grace – “Grace has a great basketball program and they strive to be great.  I wanted to come to a school where I would be pushed and I’m thankful to be able to continue my basketball career.”
