The Tigers battled a veteran Lake Michigan College team last night very hard, but ran out of gas in the second eventually falling 80-61. The intense battle was back forth for much of the first half with a quick spurt at the end of the half put Lake Michigan up 7 at halftime. ” I really like the way we played today, but I think we hit a wall with about 10 minutes left in the second half.” This is our second game in two days against up tempo teams, plus we only have 9 guys, we just ran out of gas.” Said Coach Oldebekking. ” They were still playing hard, I just don’t think they had it in the tank.” The Tigers hit back to back threes with 12 minutes to go to cut the lead to 7, but were never able to get any closer.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Eric Zudweg with 16 points and Karlion Jackson with 11. Evan Przybysz had a game high 8 assists. The Tigers are back in action next Thursday when they travel to Aquinas College for a 7:00pm game.
