• Grace JV finishes season with win over Olivet

Sophomore Ben Kronemeyer finishes on the Comet defender.  Kronemeyer finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds on the night.

The Tigers ended the 2013-2014 season on a tear, as they won four of their last five games, the last one being a 92-80 victory over Olivet College.

This game was no difference as the Tigers mixed in a lethal touch from outside (10-21) for the game with deft free throw shooting( 25-28) to seal the victory.  ""I think we really just found our offensive groove in the second half of the season, and we average almost 80 points over the last 7 games.  Really what this game came down was us getting a couple of stops, and when we did that we matched it on the other end with timely baskets, and that built the lead up.  Then having someone like Evan Przybysz to seal the game from the free throw line makes it much easier to handle."

Timely shooting did come for the Tigers as a 3 point game with five minutes left got blown open by back to back three pointers one by Dan Cole and another by Ben Kronemeyer.

"In this last stretch of games it seems that we always have hit the big shot that we needed in the second half." explained an ecstatic Coach Oldebekking after the game.  "More cases then not it has been Ben Kronemeyer, he hit the game winner the other night against Calvin, and then hit a dagger three tonight.  His game has matured so much this year, and he became such a more well rounded player, it has been nice to see the improvement in not only Ben but all the guys, their games have gotten better, and they figured out the effort it takes to win night in and night out.  If we were playing 10 more games I would like our chances in all of them, we are playing well."

The Tigers got a career game from Evan Pryzbysz as poured in 31 points on 10-14 shooting and 7-8 from the free throw line.  The Tigers also got a double-double from Ben Kronemeyer as he had 19 points and 12 rebounds for in the game.  This game concludes the season for the Tigers.
