Levi Pasma has joined the Tigers for the 2014 season. Levi is the son of Dale and Ginger Pasma, and brother to Hailey, Taylor, Malachi, Colton, and Blaze. Levi served as captain in this his senior season at Zion Christian. The 6'0 midfielder and defender uses his athleticism and played five years of basketball which he captained, and three years off baseball. Levi was an honorable mention for soccer during his Junior year while playing midfield. In his senior year, he spent more time in central defense. He is involved in the church and youth group at Harvest OPC. “One thing we have got with Levi is a willing, give all, hard working player. One that is dedicated to the team and has shown in high school he is willing to serve and always do what is best for the team. Levi will be a great fit here in this group. He has a great attitude and always looks for the positive which I really admire. This years class has some versatile players, and Levi certainly adds to it.  We are very happy to have Levi.  Levi has played under Coach Todd Hoekstra at Zion whom I have a lot of respect for so we know we are getting a well coached player”, commented Coach Buchanan. Coach Hoekstra had this to say about coaching Levi,  "I have really enjoyed coaching and getting to know Levi for the past three years and I'm excited that he has chosen to continue his soccer career at Grace Bible College.  Levi always knew how to keep practices light hearted but never fell short on giving his full effort.  He was a true team player literally playing every position on the field during my three years with him.  He was always willing to go the extra mile and stay the extra time to improve and I know that mentality will help him to be an asset to the soccer program at Grace.  He is leaving behind a tough spot to fill but I wish him all the best and God's continued blessings as he starts a new journey."  When ask what it meant to be signing with Grace, Levi stated “I am anxiously looking forward to attending Grace and being a part of the soccer team and involved in the college. This is opportunity and experience will be valuable in shaping my future."
