  • CTA features Grace AD and Men's Basketball Coach Gary Bailey as Graduation speaker

Coach Gary Bailey takes the podium last Friday as CTA Superintendent and Grace Associate Head Coach Dan George and his son, Hunter, spectate.

Approximately 450 friends and family of Creative Technologies Academy Class of 2014 gathered for commencement ceremonies in Cedar Springs, Michigan on Friday night, May 30. Dani George, Valedictorian of the class and daughter of Superintendent/School Leader, Dan George (also Associate Head Coach of Men's Basketball at Grace), had requested that her dad ask Grace Athletic Director and Men's Head Basketball Coach, Gary Bailey to be the featured speaker at the graduation. Coach Bailey agreed and the crowd was treated to his trademark humor mixed with solid advice to the graduates. In his speech, entitled "For Example," Coach Bailey recounted several lessons he learned from his father, gave lessons on understanding southern Ohio dialect, and poked fun at Coach George on at least one occasion. "He was hilarious," remarked one parent, "but he gave a lot of good advice, too!" Reviews from parents and graduates alike reflected the same thoughts.
