• BEVERLY WALLACE

There are three categories for the Hall of Fame.  Player, Coach and Contributor.

The term Contributor would be an understatement for our next inductee.  During the early 70’s this person, along with the late Bob Marshall could be counted on being at every athletic event with her patented trademark—-“Come on Tigers- you can do it.”

Even when we knew we couldn’t –Bev Wallace gave us hope that at least she thought we could, though we could never talk her into wearing a cheerleader outfit.

Bev started supporting Tiger athletics in 1968.  Bev has driven the vans for volleyball, traveled as statistician for Scott Walstra and men’s basketball; consistently volunteered countless hours and years keeping the scorebook for men and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball; and printed virtually every home tournament program for 25 years, all without getting paid.

What makes Bev’s contribution to Tiger Athletics even more treasured was her constant encouragement and positive attitude around campus the day after games or matches. No matter whether teams lost or won, for Bev it was all about the student first, then athlete.
