The Grace Basketball program has announced the hiring of former Tiger Ryan Krombeen as their new men’s JV head coach.  Krombeen was a key player on four Grace NCCAA DII National Championship teams from 2009 to 2012, serving as captain from 2010-2012.  He received All-Midwest Region honors in each of his last three seasons as a Tiger, and he also was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament team in 2010.  As for team awards, Krombeen earned MVP honors his senior season in 2012 and was honored with the Tiger Award in 2010 after his sophomore year.  Accumulating 1385 points throughout his career, Krombeen’s name is 9th on the All-Time scorers list.  He also is third in three other categories: career rebounds (906), assists (472), and blocks (118).

Krombeen has been heavily involved with Grace Athletics since he left the court as a player; first as an Assistant Coach for the varsity men’s basketball team from 2012 to 2013, and most recently as the play-by-play voice of the Tigers on the Grace Tiger Network for the past two seasons.

Ryan is married to wife Hannah Krombeen, and they reside in Wyoming, MI.  He is currently the P.E. teacher at Creative Technologies Academy in Cedar Springs, MI, where he also coached varsity girls basketball during the 2013-14 season.
