Intercultural Ministry

Intercultural Ministry

If your God-given passion is to minister in other cultures either here or abroad, to share the Gospel where the name of Jesus has not been heard, or to equip other leaders to reach their communities and cultures, then the Intercultural Ministry program might be for you!

Our mission is to develop servants of Jesus Christ who are sensitive to other cultures and able communicators of the Gospel. Students who take the Intercultural Ministry concentration will begin to appreciate differences among cultures and how these differences affect the living out of the gospel in context. By applying what is learned in the classroom in real field experiences, they will begin to identify and execute best practices for leadership development in intercultural contexts. Students will design a philosophy of cross-cultural leadership development which emphasizes the dignity of people as bearers of God’s image. Courses include the following:

  • Foundations of Missions
  • Perspectives on the World Christian Movement
  • Religions of the World
  • Personal Development for Cross-Cultural Ministry
  • Missionary Life Skills
  • Contextualization and Philosophy of Missions

The Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Intercultural Ministry is designed to provide you with an understanding of the biblical, theological and historical foundations of missions, to develop skills necessary for cross-cultural ministry and to be encouraged and challenged for the task of world evangelism. With many of our college’s leaders having served as experienced missionaries, and with the presence of Grace Ministries International on our campus, you will learn not only the theory, but more importantly the practical skills you will need to serve wherever Christ leads you.
