    Speed Hurts Tigers

    In a back and forth game with 11 ties and 11 lead changes turn overs were the difference. The Tigers had 21 compared to Marygroves 9. Half time saw the Ladies up by 2, 33-31. It stayed tight in the second half until midway through the period when Marygrove hit several 3's and took a small lead. The Tigers were unable to come back and loss 75 to 65. Full Article >

    Davenport Out Guns Tigers

    The Tigers shot 40% from the floor, 53% from the three point line and 88% from the free throw line. Most nights that would be enough for the win but not tonight. The ladies were out rebounded 46 to 28 and had 18 more turn overs than the much taller Davenport University. There is a reason they are ranked number 2 in the nation in NAIA stated Coach Renzema.     Balanced Scoring Leads to Tiger Victory

    The Tigers came out smoking against last years National Champions, hitting 55% from the floor and out rebounding them 22 to 13. It was a well balanced attack with 6 Tigers in double figures. Megan Scholtens started the ladies attack with 2 quick 3's and ending up with 14 points in the first half. The ladies moved the ball well ending the night with 19 assists. Full Article >

    Ladies Move Up To 7th In National Rankings

    The Lady Tigers jumped one spot in the national rankings this week to 7th. The two big wins over Moody and Maranatha this past weekend were enough to make some of the voting members to look seriously at the Tigers. The ladies take on Lincoln Christian University (NAIA) at 1:00 on Saturday at Grace. Full Article >

    Tigers Win Streak at 5

    After a big win Friday night the Tigers had to come back to play the always tough Moody Bible Institute. Moody came out of the gate playing very well and built a 8 point lead midway through the first period. The ladies slowly fought their way back and at the 4:05 mark, Hannah Wight scored to tie the score at 29. Anna Iwaniw scored 8 points in the final 3:00 minutes of the half to give the Tigers a 38 to 32 half time lead. Moody closed the gap to 3 points with 10:18 left in the game but the ladies played solid the remainder of the half to pull out a 71 - 61 win. Full Article >

    Men take down Moody 86-54, Lady Tigers defeat defending champs 64-62

    The Grace men's team defeated Moody Bible Institute 86-54, while the women's squad took down the defending NCCAA Champs, Maranatha Baptist University, 64-62. Articles to come.... Full Article >

    Tigers Defeat Maranatha

    The Lady Tigers knew it would be a tough ballgame with two time defending national champions Maranatha Baptist University, and it was. The game saw 10 lead changes and 8 ties. Abby Schultz's basket with 1:16 left in the half gave the Tigers a 4 point lead but the Saber cats scored the last 5 points of the half to give them a one point lead at half time. The second half saw more of the same with the largest lead by Grace after Emily Koerner scored with 10:35 remaining. At the 4 minute mark the score was 58-58 and at 2:25 the Saber cats took the lead 62 - 60. The Tigers finished the scoring with 2 free throws by Hannah Wight and a late basket by Anna Iwaniw.     Lady Tigers Ranked 8th In NCCAA

    he Tigers for the second straight week are ranked 8th in the NCCAA DII Top Ten,with a 5 and 2 record. The ladies play the 10th ranked Moody Bible Institute on Saturday the 6th of December and play last years national champions on Friday the 5th of December. Both games will be played at Kuyper College as part of the Midwest Tip Off Classic. Fridays game tips off at 4:00 PM and Saturdays game begins at 1:00. Full Article >
